The Cisa - Ikar
Created in 1948, the Commission Internationale de Secours Alpin (IKAR in German) is the Alpine rescue International Commission. It gathers 33 countries coming from Europe and North America.
To give a framework for the research on rescue techniques and safety or to standardize the equipment used for rescue, are the main aims of the CISA-IKAR
This fantastic place of exchange and dialogue about mountain rescue includes four commissions : land rescue, air rescue, avalanche and a medical commission.
The 33 countries members : Andorre - Argentine - Australie - Autriche - Bosnie Herzégovine - Bulgarie - Canada - Croatie - République Tchèque - France - Allemagne - Grèce - Irlande - Islande - Italie - Japon - Liechenstein - Montenegro - Népal - Nouvelle Zélande - Norvège - Pologne - Roumanie - Slovaquie - Slovénie - Afrique du Sud - Espagne - Suède - Suisse - Serbie - Grande Bretagne - Etats Unis - Chypre.
The Commission invites other countries such as Argentina, Nepal, South Africa as correspondent members (their organisations are not full members of CISA).
